Day Services Overview

At our Community Access Centers we’re dedicated to crafting an inclusive environment that caters to each person’s unique needs and aspirations through personalized activities. Our Day Services revolve around four main areas: daily living activities, skill development, leisure pursuits and community engagement.

We’re here to foster the growth of problem-solving abilities, social skills, and everyday living skills. Our services are available for individuals aged 21 and above, accessible through the Department of Developmental Disabilities or private payment options.

Center-Based Activities

Center-Based Activities

We elevate personal interests, hobbies, and skills through interactive hands-on activities, encompassing a range of services including music appreciation, arts and crafts, sensory play, interactive games and nutrition-focused sessions. Participants can enjoy diverse experiences such as cooking, computer tasks and community involvement opportunities.

Moreover, our program integrates everyday activities like communication, safety awareness, nutrition and navigating one’s home and community. Participants are involved in tasks such as plant care, laundry, meal preparation, exercise and acquiring community safety skills.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for everyone to actively participate in their community. We’ve partnered with various nonprofit organizations to offer volunteer opportunities for our program participants to build strong ties within the local community.

For instance, individuals engage in activities like collecting and delivering food to local food banks, organizing clothing drives and baking dog biscuits for the nearby animal shelter. They also take part in recreational and social outings, such as library visits, lighthouse tours, mini-golf, trips to local parks, visits to museums, fruit picking at local farms, zoo and aquarium visits and more!

Throughout these community-based activities, our focus remains on safety, engagement, and teaching practical skills. Our programs are designed to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in the participants at our centers.
